In the summertime of 2011, Eilís visited the Earthsong pageant in Eire, a small off-grid gathering with a number of singing and music. “There was no electrical energy, and we had been all cooking on an open hearth,” she remembers. “I noticed Sam just a few instances however didn’t communicate to him.”

It was completely baltic and Sam needed to rescue each of us.” After turning into some dry tenting gear, they went again to Sam’s home so she may bathe. “I had a phenomenal sheepskin rug and her canine pooed throughout it,” says Sam. “It was a busy first date.”

They met once more over the following few weekends and shortly turned an official couple. In October 2011, Sam’s mum died unexpectedly and Eilís supplied to fly again to England with him to see his household. “We’d recognized one another lower than three months but it surely felt proper,” he says.

They moved in collectively in Kilkenny in 2012 and married the next 12 months. Eilís is a youth employee, whereas Sam is a paramedic, and the couple have 4 youngsters collectively.
